Where the mountains meet the sea in north-west Wales, Gwynedd is famed for its extraordinary natural beauty, dramatic coastline and rich fishing heritage. It’s a place made for exploring, and eating very well along the way. And now, thanks to the new Gwynedd Seafood Trail, it’s easier than ever to do both.

Conceived by the School of Ocean Sciences at Bangor University, the Gwynedd Seafood Trail is an ingenious project designed to guide people towards seasonal, locally caught seafood and those catching and cooking it, helping to keep the region’s fishing communities thriving. Through a series of thoughtfully mapped routes, visitors can plot their own journey along the coastline, combining spectacular walks with stops to sample some of the finest seafood North Wales has to offer…
